About This Spot

Walking into Foxy in the heart of McLeansboro is like stepping into a warm neighborhood gathering spot where the hum of conversation and the inviting scent of sizzling grills immediately set a comfortable, unhurried tone. It’s the kind of place where the pace slows just enough for you to leave the day’s rush behind and settle in for something satisfying and familiar, yet thoughtfully crafted.

The atmosphere is relaxed and approachable, a true reflection of the community it serves. Whether you’re sharing a meal with family, catching up with friends, or carving out a quiet moment alone, Foxy feels like a space designed for connection and comfort. The friendly, attentive service quietly elevates the experience without overwhelming, creating an ease that invites you to return again and again.

It’s the kind of menu that unfolds like a well-thumbed storybook—each dish familiar but with a little spark of creativity and care. Their burgers, for example, come alive with richly layered flavors and are served on perfectly toasted buns, balancing a satisfying juiciness with thoughtful seasoning. The fish and chips find a crisp, golden rhythm in each bite, ideal for those who appreciate a classic done well. Meanwhile, smaller touches—like appetizers featuring crisp fried green beans or tangy fried pickles—add dimension to the meal and invite sharing, making it simple to linger and savor the moment.

Breakfasts and paninis carry a similar spirit, offering options that are straightforward but made with genuine attention to detail. Whether it’s a weekend brunch gathering or a midday pause, the food stays rooted in comfort but hints at local pride and everyday excellence.

Above all, Foxy is a place where the experience feels less about dining out and more about belonging. It’s where a carefully crafted meal becomes a small celebration of local flavor and simple pleasures, laid out thoughtfully amid an atmosphere that welcomes you like an old friend. Visitors often leave with a quiet sense that the food has done more than just fill a plate—it has created a shared moment worth returning to.

Foxy didn’t just make me a burger, they crafted a monument to human achievement. The patty was so juicy I’m fairly certain it could end droughts, and the cheese melted with the grace of a thousand sunsets. Halfway through eating, I achieved inner peace, saw my past lives, and briefly became fluent in three new languages. Foxy's isn’t a restaurant, it’s a spiritual awakening between two buns.

The Hamco Burger: Some pulled pork and bacon placed on a homemade burger fully dressed in the middle of a perfectly cooked bun. This style of burger was extremely savory with all the different flavors and topped ingredients. It just needed a tad bit of extra sauce in a few places here and there to even the juice from the pulled pork to the dryness of the actual burger underneath. Overall though, it was a fantastic bite! 10/10 I will be eating there again when going through this small town!

Burger is not hand padded but it's good quality and cooked perfectly. The baked potato (after 4pm) is a huge bonus rather than fries. Coffee was good enough for drip. The service was excellent. Polite, professional and prompt. Normally the food would be a 4 star but the service made up for it.

Best restaurant in mcleansboro! The food was immaculate, their variety and quality of gelatos is outstanding. A great bang for your buck as well. This place will be on the top of my go to list from here on out!

Fantastic breakfast menu. Family met here for Saturday morning breakfast/brunch. Food was delicious and the breakfast menu provided a great selection. Service was very prompt and professional. Great meal for a very reasonable price. Recommend this restaurant

I have been hearing about Foxy's for a while now and decided to try it, it certainly lived up to everything I've heard. I had the pub burger, fries and tea and it was top notch. Everything was fresh, cooked to perfection and priced right. The service was excellent and friendly. I'll definitely be going back.
